The Cinema Heritage Project is documenting and recording the stories of Devon residents and their memories of cinema going. Come along to this rolling screening to see the work the project has been doing to capture these stories.
Supported through The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and Torbay’s Local Heritage Grant Fund, the project has created a series of short documentary films that capture some of the region’s cinema history, recording the individual and collective memory of cinema going and the impact that film has had in the area.
EXTER CINEMA HERITAGE PROJECT
The Exeter Cinema Heritage Project has created a series of 11 short documentary films recording the cinema going memories of Exeter’s older residents.
TORQUAY CINEMA HERITAGE PROJECT
The Torquay Cinema Heritage Project has created 7 short documentary films recording some of the history of cinema in the town. From the town’s long relationship to film, to the productions made there and personal memories of trips to the cinema.
